Guys, would it seem morally ethical or even emotionally acceptable to you that your spouse would have a best friend of opposite sex? Who shares his/her time, emotions, the day-to-day life stories etc with that person?
If this simple reasoning is so hard to digest right now, it will work like a “hajmoola(a south-Asian pill that helps you in digestion)” on that day.
Be the kind of person now what you want your spouse to be.
Islam didn’t forbid such a relationship with non-mehram without any reason.

On This Day — December 27, 2008: Israel started its bombing campaign on Gaza without warning, killing 1,400 Palestinians in total — more than 300 of whom were children — in the space of 22 days. Palestinian armed groups responded, killing 3 Israeli civilians and 6 Israeli soldiers.
Israel stated that the aim of their mission — also known as Operation Cast Lead — was to halt rocket fire from Gaza, despite provoking Hamas by killing 6 of their members in a raid that ended a four-month ceasefire.
